Our expansive campus spans 15,577m² and features a four-storey main building and extensive sports grounds. Purpose-built for modern learning, our state-of-the-art facilities include specialist classrooms, a spacious library, multi-purpose sports areas, a running track, and administrative offices. Together, they enable us to deliver an exceptional, well-rounded education that nurtures each child's unique talents, ignites their passions and prepares them for future success.
Reception
Malvern College Tokyo is located in Kodaira, just a 40-minute commute from central Tokyo. Situated in a highly academic area, our campus lies within a 5 km radius of over 50 educational institutions, from elementary schools to prestigious universities, including Hitotsubashi University and Tsuda University.

Learning with Technology
Every classroom at Malvern College Tokyo is equipped with interactive projectors, creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment. Our flexible, moveable furniture evolves with our pupils as they progress through the years. In our specialist classrooms, pupils explore AI, coding, and digital tools using iPads and laptops, preparing them for an ever-changing technological landscape.

Science Laboratories
In keeping with the tradition of Malvern College UK, our advanced science department offers both classroom-based laboratories and a dedicated preparation lab. Furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, these spacious labs allow pupils to take a hands-on approach to scientific discovery.


STEAM & Design – The Makerspace
Our STEAM and Design Makerspace provides pupils with limitless creative possibilities. Equipped with two 3-in-1 machines (3D printer, laser cutter, and router), wood cutters, sewing machines, Raspberry Pi kits, soldering tools, and more, this open-plan studio encourages innovation and exploration.

Big School,
Our Gymnasium
Our two-storey gymnasium, known as Big School, boasts six basketball hoops and is fully equipped for volleyball, table tennis, badminton, gymnastics, and more. The gym also features a performance stage and grand piano, providing a multifunctional space for assemblies and productions.


All-weather Astro Pitch,
Our Field
Adjacent to the main building lies our full-size all-weather pitch, an expansive space, perfect for football, rugby, and cricket. Utilising premium astro turf laid on a base of sand, it remains playable even after the rain.
Indoor Playground
Inside the main building, our younger pupils enjoy a large indoor playground. This versatile space hosts physical education lessons, assemblies, and co-curricular activities (CCAs), offering plenty of equipment for active play.


The Arts

Expressive Arts Room
Our Expressive Arts Room is a flexible, open space where, guided by our dedicated arts and dance teachers, pupils rehearse performances, practice monologues, and choreograph dances for competitions.
Music Room
Next door, our soundproof Music Room invites younger pupils to explore orchestral instruments like the violin, bass, and cello. Pupils also engage with choirs, ukuleles, xylophones, and more, developing their musical talents.


Practice Rooms
Individual practice rooms are available throughout the day, offering pupils dedicated spaces to refine their skills in music and the performing arts.
Visual Arts Studio
Our open-plan Visual Arts Studio encourages pupils to experiment with different styles, mediums, and techniques. This spacious, light-filled studio nurtures creativity across all year groups.


Around the Campus

Spacious Library
Located on the fourth floor, our spacious library benefits from an abundance of natural light. It features dedicated zones, from a reading challenge corner designed by MYP pupils to silent study areas and spaces for PYP library lessons.
Grub – Our Dining Hall
Affectionately known as Grub, our dining hall provides a welcoming environment for pupils to enjoy fresh, warm meals each day. Dining by House fosters interaction across year groups and creates opportunities for older pupils to mentor younger ones.


Japanese Room
Our Japanese Room celebrates local culture with traditional bamboo mats and art. Pupils engage in cultural experiences such as tea ceremonies, calligraphy, and lessons on Japanese history, deepening their understanding of Japan’s rich heritage.

Outside Spaces
Sakura Garden
A signature feature of our campus, the Sakura Garden bursts into bloom each spring with vibrant cherry blossoms. This expansive area serves as a peaceful retreat during break times and a venue for outdoor lessons and performances, particularly during our annual Sakura Culture Festival.


Piloti Courtyard
Located beside Grub, our Piloti courtyard is another inviting outdoor space where pupils gather to relax, play, and socialize, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
