"Rugby Day" with Malvern College Tokyo
Come join us for an action-packed morning!
Discover the unique set of values and ethos that sets Malvern education apart from the rest. Malvern College Tokyo (MCT) inherits the rich heritage of Malvern College in the UK, offering a holistic education that goes beyond the classroom.
At MCT, pupils have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of activities outside the classroom, including Sports, Science, Creative Arts, Higher-Order Thinking, and more. Join us for a series of events designed to engage children in different experiences, both physically and creatively.
On Saturday, 28th September 2024, we are hosting a Rugby Day at our Malvern College Tokyo Campus!
Rugby is a fantastic sport that provides children an opportunity to express themselves through attack and defence. Through rugby they will learn to work as a cohesive unit and share with their peers. At the heart of rugby, it is a game of collaboration and communication and most importantly, respect for the people around you.
The skills, knowledge, and experience gained from playing rugby are transferable to the classroom and, more importantly, to life. Rugby promotes tolerance of discomfort, demands selflessness to meet team goals, and creates unforgettable moments.
Quoting from Malvern College Tokyo’s Founding Headmaster and an experienced rugby coach, Mr. Mike Spencer, “Rugby is a sport that creates a feeling of togetherness and building something important in the lives of young people. It entails running freely, diving for the try line, seeking success jointly, taking knocks, getting back off the floor, and going again. Rugby is very similar to life itself.”
