Ms. Jacqueline So established a partnership with Malvern College UK in 2011 and has since co-founded Malvern College Qingdao (2012), Malvern College Chengdu (2015), Malvern College Pre-Schools Hong Kong (2017 and 2019) and Malvern College Hong Kong (2018), now collectively educating over 2,500 pupils from preschool to senior school age.

She previously served as Executive Principal of Malvern College Qingdao, overseeing all aspects of the school’s operations and managing its public relations and communication. Ms So later established Malvern College Chengdu, delivering internationalised education to Western China. Graduates from both Malvern Colleges in China have successfully gained admission to prestigious global institutions, including the University of Cambridge, MIT, Imperial College London, UCLA, and King’s College London.

In Hong Kong, Ms So introduced an early years provision at Malvern College Pre-Schools grounded in educationally-harnessed, play-based learning. She also pioneered the city’s first Forest-Beach School approach to foster curiosity, independence and to promote a love of nature.

Ms. So led the team that secured a site next to the Science Park on which to establish Malvern College Hong Kong. The successful completion of this highly competitive bid process ensured the introduction of a British- style International Baccalaureate school in Hong Kong. The school’s state-of-art campus has since won numerous accolades including the Quality Building Award (2020).

Before assuming her current role, Ms. So served as Vice President of Strategy and Development of Laureate Education and worked as a Senior Consultant with McKinsey & Company in Greater China and the United States. She holds a BBA in Accounting from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
